I’m sorry God, but I don’t buy into the whole Jesus resurrection thing. It seems utterly incomprehensible. The laws of nature have never been suspended in any circumstance in human history. I know Jesus’ death and resurrection story is the crux of modern Christianity but that doesn’t make it a real historical event. Jesus’ era was one of oral traditions; things weren’t written down until decades after his death. That provided time for Jesus’ tale to improve to the point of deification.
I’m sorry, God but your followers are deliberately persecuting members of society. The LGBTQIA+ community is suffering extensive torment by religious conservatives as they claim that God doesn’t approve of their lifestyles and/or sexual orientation. No member of the church, or modern society for that matter, can state they don’t understand the long-term psychological ramifications of persistent maltreatment, exclusion, and oppression. The devastating impact is known.
I’m sorry, God but you failed to make clear your personal stance on abortions and it’s really not playing out very well for women. It would’ve been prudent to have explicitly condoned or opposed abortions to the ancient writers of the bible. I would have expected an all-knowing deity to foresee the somewhat questionable Christian moral judgement being applied to women.
I’m sorry, God but it was totally unnecessary for Jesus to be killed for humanity’s sins. You already had this covered over years of Jewish law encompassing atonement. There was no need to revisit it so savagely. The crucifixion story of the death of Jesus sounds suspiciously like the Old Testament instructions for atonement from sin.
