QAnon: To act or not to act?

I’m sorry, God but you didn’t mention specific crimes in the Bible and we’re all a bit confused down here. QAnon are an evangelical bunch who are obsessed with paedophilia. They are judging paedophiles as the worst crime ever. It may well be the worst crime ever, but why didn’t God or Jesus ever bother to mention it? Anyway, humanity’s experience has evidenced it may well be the worst crime ever and, as a result, it has become an effective propaganda tool for aeons.

This is not a discussion on the positives and negatives of paedophilia. We all know there are no positives so let’s not get caught up in that. I have some compassion for one of my perpetrators since discovering he was abused as a child and his two siblings have died from eating disorders. It may sound ridiculous, but that’s how I feel. It doesn’t excuse his crimes in any way, shape or form but I certainly don’t feel the need to hunt him down with a posse of QAnons and online memes. I am subject to NSW Police, Crimes Act 1900, and their decision for prosecution of a crime. Anything else would be an unhealthy fixation for me.

Anyway, I’ve asked many online people involved with QAnon to tell me what they do on a practical level.  I’ve never been able to get an answer that was plausible. So, what is that they do? They appear to manifest themselves in an online world of puzzle solving and nobody has ever been able to describe otherwise. There seems to be lots of memes, photoshopped frogs, and defamation of celebrities but no real action of any substance. They turn up to oppose the anti-fascist groups which would imply they’re approving of fascism. That’s certainly a strange stance.

There has been significant backlash from QAnon for speaking out against them. I have, apparently, become an enemy to the QAnon movement. What does it mean to be an enemy of QAnon? I’m not sure but I concede to having some safety concerns.

Regardless, let me describe the perfect scenario for a QAnon follower to shine and to stand up to a “paedophile” and “paedophile enablers.” Here it is. This is not even a hypothetical; this is my real life:

1)     The church minister and his family continue to be friends with the perpetrators of my sexual assaults despite being aware of the crime;

2)     In mediation, after ten years of dialogue, the retiring church minister and his successor both told me they did not have a relationship with the perpetrators;

3)     The church minister financially compensated the mediator, thus stopping him from acting impartially in the matter, and before I was able to finish the mediation process;

4)     A photo then appeared on social media showing family members of the church minister having a beer with one of the perpetrators;

5)     I told the church minister and successor to “f#$k off” and never contact me again;

6)     The QAnon follower received an invitation to the retirement party for the church minister who failed to report my sexual assaults;

7)     It was likely both the Prime Minister and the perpetrators would be present at the retirement party providing significant impact on any action taken.

My mother announced to her QAnon-following son that she would be confronting the perpetrators should they be present at the minister’s retirement party. The reply to her was, “Don’t expect me to back you up.” Don’t expect me to back you up?! Really? The real-life response by a QAnon follower, when faced with the abusers of a child and the church minister who failed to report it, is to take no action at all! This is the ultimate hypocrisy and total contradiction of QAnon. Given the perfect real-life situation for a QAnon paedophile hunter to let loose upon a child abuser and a church full of paedophile enablers, the QAnon followers proved they were merely keyboard warriors. Not a terribly practical cult then.

As it happened, the Prime Minister’s wife was in attendance at the retirement party, not the Prime Minister. My father confronted the one perpetrator who was present. The perpetrator apologised for what he’d done, asking my father to pass on that sentiment, but didn’t bother turning up to a police station to confess. As far as I know, the QAnon followers present that day played no role in addressing the perpetrator. I’m sure there were far more pressing matters online involving the return of JFK Jnr or something equally outlandish that needed QAnon’s attention.

The real fear I have is the unpredictability in QAnon behaviour should Donald Trump not win the upcoming election. I’d like to hope QAnons limit their behaviour to online but that isn’t guaranteed. QAnons in USA have ensured they’re visible at rallies and functions that support Trump. QAnons may not bother involving themselves in confronting rapists or “paedophile enablers” but they’re sure to turn up in droves should Trump not win the election.
